Tube the YampaTube the Yampa River - Visit their website
If there’s one thing you check off your list this summer in Steamboat Springs, it has to be tubing the Yampa River. A local favorite and must-do activity, tubing the Yampa offers a chance to experience downtown Steamboat from a comfortable inner tube while splashing in the refreshing waters of the Yampa River. The float can be as long or as short as you’d like, and there’s plenty of riverside stops like parks, restaurants and bars along the way.

Kids will have fun all day here! There is a ropes course, a slingshot bungee jump, a climbing wall, a mechanical bull, a human gyro, and even a water walkerz.

Whether you have never been fly-fishing or you’re an expert looking to improve your skills, this is the place to go! Yampa Valley Anglers provides fly-fishing classes for all levels. All equipment is provided and there are generally 1-3 clients per session.

Saddleback Ranch offers 2-hour horseback rides with vies of the Flat Tops, Sleeping Giant, and Mt. Werner. The ranch is only a 15 mile drive from Steamboat Springs, and if you don’t feel like driving they can provide front door transportation to and from the ranch in luxury vans. They also offer snowmobile tours and snow tubing rides in the winter.
